The protagonist is a minor celebrity with no money or connections. Just before filming is about to begin, he suddenly gets word that someone has bought their way onto the production and taken his role.
The production crew gives him two choices: get lost, or play the sinister, flamboyant Demon King villain with an absurd look and a flat, idiotic personality.
Short on money, the protagonist has no choice but to grit his teeth and accept the role.
The Demon King is a bking in a suit, carrying a black umbrella with a long handle. After delivering a couple of lines, he folds up his umbrella, then goes bang and turns into a flock of crows that flies off in every direction. Most of the scene relies on post-production effects, so filming is a breeze.
But the very next day, as he heads out, the moment he folds up his parasol, the protagonist really does go bang and turn into a flock of crows, then teleport straight back home.
The protagonist: "...?"
Wait, bro, what does this mean?
From then on, the protagonist enjoys the thrill of saving a fortune on bus and subway fares.
Still short on cash, after filming wraps he takes a guest role in another show, this time playing an evil and wicked Demon Venerable.
The Demon Venerable is pure cannon fodder: he appears and gets instantly killed. He is onscreen for all of two minutes, opens a Gate to the Underworld in a bloody spectacle, then departs this mortal coil in style.
That night, the protagonist gets home and opens the curtains. Sure enough, the gates of hell swing wide, and evil spirits wail.
The protagonist: "???"
Shut it, shut it, shut it! Damn hand!
When it comes time to choose another script, the protagonist carefully picks one for a superpower manga adaptation. The villain may be a disheveled lunatic, but he knows the Meteor Fist, and one punch can even blow up the Earth.
The next day, the protagonist intervenes to stop a crime and punches a robber into the ICU.
The protagonist: "..."
Got it. New rule for picking scripts, effective immediately.
After that, he eagerly plays all kinds of extraordinary characters: an immortal who cleaves open the gates of heaven with a single sword strike, a space-time cop whose superpower can twist physical objects, a mutant who shoots lasers from his eyes, and more.
But the protagonist's face is so handsome that even his bizarre costumes attract hordes of fans. They even rush to the set to corner him, begging him to play a normal, handsome guy and stop wasting that face.
The protagonist laughs heartily. "What's the use of being handsome? Being strong is what matters for life."
Then he clenches his fist with a cold expression, breaks through the void, and strides away.
The fans: "...?"
Are those 3D effects happening in real life?
The production crew: "???"
Wait, bro, you can actually do that?

The director of the Superpower Management Bureau finishes a long day at work and returns home, exhausted. The night before, they had encountered a mysterious superpowered individual. They had fought with all their might, but could not win, and had to retreat in defeat.
He tosses aside his trench coat, turns on the TV, and happens to hear a villain shout, "Submit to judgment!"
The director nearly jumps out of his skin. The superpowered individual from last night had shouted the same thing before punching his colleague into a sewer.
What, do human-shaped natural disasters like watching manga adaptations these days?

The human-shaped natural disaster, the protagonist himself: It's not just that I like watching them, I like acting in them too :P
