Burning Ears

[Tsundere B-king × Airheaded Beauty]

[Rapper × Comic Artist]

Ruan Er first meets Tan Xiao outside a convenience store. The man is dressed all in black, squatting by the entrance and smoking. The light behind him stretches his shadow across the ground, drawing it into a lonely silhouette.

For no particular reason, Ruan Er thinks of the husky she lost. Her heart softens, and she buys a bottle of milk and offers it to him. "Smoking is bad for you. Drink this milk and hurry home."

Tan Xiao puts out his cigarette and is about to take the milk when Ruan Er adds in a muffled voice, "Don't be like my dog. It got lost and didn't even come home to tell me."

Tan Xiao: "..."

How can a lost dog come back?

Wait, is she treating him like a dog?

The second time Ruan Er meets Tan Xiao is outside the restroom at a bar.

A woman with a curvaceous figure is standing in front of him.

"Hey, handsome, can I get your WeChat?"

The man sounds disgusted. "Stay away from me. That cheap perfume is stinging my eyes."

Ruan Er is astonished. Wow, Duan Mulei would call that an expert move.

The third time Ruan Er meets Tan Xiao is at a gathering hosted by a friend.

While playing a game, Ruan Er draws a dare.

The card says: Kiss the first person of the opposite sex on your left through a sheet of paper.

The first person of the opposite sex is Tan Xiao.

Remembering how coldly he rejected that woman, Ruan Er feels awkward and quietly changes the card's instructions. "C-could I have a hug?"

Tan Xiao slouches in his chair. "No."

Ruan Er twists her fingers, mortified.

"But you can kiss me." The man's voice is calm, yet strangely alluring. "Not through a tissue."
