Matsuda and His Problematic Young Lady

Matsuda Jinpei, who always wore a sour expression, was picked by the head of the Intelligence Bureau for a mission: protect the director's daughter.

He expected her to be an elegant young lady from a prestigious family, with impeccable manners. Then he saw the pink-haired girl clutching her stomach and laughing hysterically, and all he could think was, "This is going to be a disaster."

Serious Blurb:

Designer Mujin died unexpectedly while investigating the cause of her friend's death. When she opened her eyes again, she had arrived in a whole new world, as the young, inexperienced daughter of a divorced couple. She also got a bonus: a cheap dad who'd pull off his belt and hit her whenever he felt like it.

So here's the question: How does a delicate, frail young lady who could get whipped with a belt at any moment live a fulfilling life?

Mujin looked over her assets and decided that although her cheap dad was a bit tacky, with all the property in her name, this deal was definitely worth it.

So she started living the kind of retired life she'd never dared dream about in her previous life.

That was until she ran into her bodyguard, Matsuda Jinpei, who seemed to find fault with everything about her.

Mujin (rolling her eyes): What are you looking at? Keep staring and I'll poke your nostrils!

Excerpt:

Mujin held the photo in her hand and glanced back at the bodyguard, who was sitting there as quiet as a mouse.

Are you kidding me?

Matsuda: You don't photograph well.

Mujin: Who gave you the right? Look at this! It's so blurry your soul's practically coming out of it!

Matsuda: ...

Before the final round of the design competition, Mujin received a gift from a certain hopeless case at the police academy.

She eagerly opened it, only to find a pair of purple underwear.

She immediately took a photo and fired off three questions.

Matsuda: I saw it online. Apparently, people in Huaguo give gifts like this. It's called "purple undies, definite success"!

Mujin: ...

She was so grateful for these awful puns!

Content warnings:

Male lead: Matsuda. Female lead: Mujin (Chize Jin).

The heroine is quirky and mischievous, a designer who loves photography and changes her hair color every few days (blue, green, pink. She'll try any color you can imagine).

No golden finger.

There are few cases. The main focus is romance.

Theme: Live a fulfilling life.
