My Lover Is Forty-Seven

The college entrance exams were over, and the sweltering summer vacation had begun.

Pei Yi had just made plans with his boyfriend to go on a date the next day, and then he transmigrated.

He transmigrated thirty years into the future.

It was still a blisteringly hot summer, the cicadas shrilled, and the world had changed beyond recognition.

The biggest change was the person he loved.

Shen Qing.

At forty-seven, Shen Qing had silver-gray hair and wore a suit. He was an outstanding university professor. Calm, composed, accomplished, and independent, he was nothing like the gloomy, withdrawn classmate nobody noticed back in high school.

Time had passed, but one thing remained unchanged: Shen Qing still loved him.

When they were young, Pei Yi once asked, "What would you do if we broke up?"

A soft breeze brushed the two boys' faces, stirring a cascade of tender leaf shadows. Shen Qing's gaze was hazy, and his voice tightened. "I... We won't ever part."

Pei Yi couldn't help laughing and teased him on purpose. "But there are so many wonderful things in the world. You have to go see them."

Seventeen-year-old Shen Qing said nothing.

He only thought, Then I'll wait until you've seen every wonderful thing in the world.

I'll wait for you.

And he waited for thirty years.

[A little bedtime story] Pure, sweet romance (?)

Probably a short story.
