I'm Nao Rikujo, a graduate student in engineering at Toto University.
I studied diligently and worked hard, and after finally getting into grad school, I thought I was about to reach the peak of my life.
But I never expected to be assigned a group member named Subaru Okiya.
He was always skipping class, never joined discussions about our project, and never took part in research activities.
I thought he was a lazy rookie who just wanted to lie flat.
To keep my research from falling behind, I started pushing him to study every day and worked hard to do his share of the research, too.
But to my surprise, he turned in a research report that was practically perfect.
So that's it! He'd been secretly getting ahead all along!
After studying so seriously, I still couldn't beat him.
I swear I'll find out his secret to getting ahead!
