After Becoming a Wicked Mother-in-Law, I Helped My Daughter-in-Law Get Rich

Tan Peilan transmigrates into a farming novel, thinking she's landed the female lead's role and is ready to grow crops, support her family, and reach the pinnacle of life. + But it turns out she isn't the female lead at all. She's become the wicked mother-in-law who brutally beats and exploits the heroine, her child bride. + The original owner was widowed young and had a mentally disabled son. To find her son a wife, she sold the family's old ox and bought a child bride. + She then took all her resentment over being widowed young and having a mentally disabled son out on the poor child-bride heroine. In the end, the wicked mother-in-law was repeatedly face-slapped by the transmigrated heroine, went mad, fell into a cesspit, and died. + Remembering her miserable fate, Tan Peilan felt every hair on her body stand on end. As a kind and independent modern woman, she decided to rewrite the original story. Her daughter-in-law was still growing, so she should eat more. Her daughter-in-law was too young for hard labor, so Tan Peilan would do it herself. Her daughter-in-law didn't want to be the mentally disabled son's child bride, so Tan Peilan would find her a new husband. The modern woman who had transmigrated into the story couldn't help asking herself, "Didn't I come here to face-slap the villain and take over as the lead? How am I supposed to attack a mother-in-law who's like my own mother?" Tan Peilan's daughter-in-law couldn't understand what there was to face-slap. Wasn't a harmonious family full of kindness and virtue wonderful? From then on, mother-in-law and daughter-in-law treated each other like mother and daughter, while the mentally disabled son stood by with his mouth open, grinning foolishly. Until the two of them independently came up with the same idea to open a Thai hot pot restaurant to support the family. + The daughter-in-law looked puzzled. "Why does her seasoning taste so modern? How does she know about Thai food?" Tan Peilan: "My cover's blown…" After her identity was exposed, Tan Peilan opened a restaurant with her daughter-in-law. They made money, bought houses and land, and built a lively, prosperous life together. Then Tan Peilan met an elderly marquis who had just lost his wife and had a fortune worth tens of millions. He took her hand and said, "I have thousands of servants in my household, but I'm missing a mistress of the house to manage them." Her daughter-in-law said, "Mother-in-law, marry him already!" Theme: Work hard to change your life and your fate, even when times are tough.
