[A Cunning, Powerful Man x A Cool, Frail Beauty]
[1]
In college, Li Ting was working on a reading comprehension test in the classroom.
At the back, Jiang Yanhe, the center of attention, was being dumped by another girl.
He sat across from her, his skin pale and cool, his eyes lifting with weary indifference. He lowered his hand to snuff out the blue flame, then lazily waved his long, elegant fingers in a distant farewell.
After listening to the girl's tearful confession, he remained unmoved. He had never loved her.
Jiang Yanhe laughed scornfully and said, "Falling in love with me never ends well."
Everyone knew he was a hedonist, carefree and unrestrained. No one had ever seen him seriously love anyone.
The classroom was empty. Only he and Li Ting remained, and he cast her in his shadow.
"You there in front, got nowhere to go? Why not come to my place to get out of the rain tonight?"
Li Ting was nervous. Her heart raced, and her neck turned bright red.
No one knew that this was the 336th day she had been secretly in love with Jiang Yanhe.
It had started when he rescued her from a shipwreck.
[2]
Li Ting went home with him and offered to repay his kindness.
For five whole years, Jiang Yanhe never told her that he wasn't the one who had saved her.
He never told her that the girl he had rescued back then was someone else entirely.
Jiang Yanhe was so possessive that he was certain Li Ting would never leave him.
As they rode a ferry to a wedding banquet, the eastern sky brightened with the sunrise, and the dream of being with Jiang Yanhe finally came to an end.
"Goodbye, Jiang Yanhe. I wish you and her a happy marriage. I've repaid my debt to you. We owe each other nothing. Never look for me again."
On the windblown deck, Li Ting cast off her wedding dress and sank into the vast, roiling sea, its surface shimmering gold, its blue waters turning crimson.
Everyone watched, shaken, as they gazed at her bare, gleaming back.
Without looking back, she headed toward the sunlight, leaving freely, never to belong to him again.
After she left, Jiang Yanhe, once the favored son of heaven, was left half-dead. His pride crumbled, and he searched for her like a madman.
[3]
After finally finding Li Ting, who had lost her memory, Jiang Yanhe kept a desperate vigil beneath her apartment for six whole months.
On a stormy night lashed by a typhoon, neither the grime nor the dust could conceal his striking features.
Jiang Yanhe saw her with his own eyes as another man brought her home, their manner intimate.
When the lights in her room went out, he was consumed with anguish. He wanted nothing more than to stand in front of his rival and claim her as his.
That night, in a pitch-black, narrow hallway, he pulled Li Ting into his arms and held her tight. Her ears burned, and her heart raced wildly.
Jiang Yanhe clung to her possessively. His voice was broken, yet careful, his thin lips brushing her like a butterfly's wing. "Tingting, don't leave me again. I can't go on living without you."

A few notes: 1. This isn't a traditional melodramatic romance. It's a healing, pure-love story. The hero is strong and the heroine is weak; they're each other's only partners, and there is no changing the male lead. He never has feelings for another girl at any point.
2. A bittersweet romance. The heroine has a crush on him early on and moves into the wealthy hero's home. He didn't refuse to save her; they save each other.
3. The hero is crazy, but not a scumbag (he loves the heroine very, very much). They love each other from beginning to end, with no major heartbreak. I don't like putting the heroine through anguish. There is no plot where she grovels to repay him. The hero is bad at expressing himself at first, but he never stops loving her.
4. This is wish fulfillment: a madman x a lovesick beauty. They're both extremely possessive.

The story is almost finished. I went back and reread the blurb I wrote a year and a half ago. Let me clear up a few things.
The hero is deeply, deeply devoted. There has never been another woman. The matter involving the heroine's younger sister is explained in Chapter 70, and the person he rescued wasn't his first love.
The heroine has always been the one he loved. There is nothing uncomfortable about it. He didn't save her because he'd already carried her out of danger. When someone held a gun on him, he could only swim in the opposite direction to keep her safe.
He's the mermaid watching the prince sail away, staying steadfastly by her side and putting her survival first. Even when she misunderstands him, he accepts it willingly. Isn't pure love the highest form of love?
You have to understand that he overcame every obstacle and endured unimaginable suffering, wielding power enough to cover the sky, just to be with her.
And don't believe the misleading warnings in the blurb that say the second male lead wins her over.
The second male lead is like the prince in a fairy tale, thanked by the princess despite having done nothing.
The one who saved the heroine was the male lead, who turned into sea foam and returned to the silent ocean, yet still protected and respected the woman he loved.
Theme: Be your own sun. You don't need to rely on anyone else's light. Be independent, strong, confident, and full of love.
The first serialization of Chasing. . When the update happened, I went crazy. I wanted to watch Jumping into the Sea immediately and ordered it all in one go. . In the end, the predictions were made repeatedly and four times to no avail. It's really hard to comment. Can I get a refund? I'm so speechless??
I'm convinced. Isn't it updated to 6.1? Why isn't it? If I had known better, I wouldn't have bought it.
I can't bear to part with it. The string was pulled too long in the early stage. In the later stage, the crematorium is about to end before I can enjoy it. QAQ woo woo woo.
I'm writing it now. I'll probably send it out tomorrow night.
Have you stopped updating? Woo hoo hoo
