Against the Current

[Professor at a Prestigious University’s Computer Science Department x IT Company CEO]

During her sophomore year, when she was studying abroad as an exchange student, Bai Yujing got on the wrong side of a rich second-generation heir. The two couldn't stand each other and bickered whenever they met.

On the night before she returned to China, her friends threw her a farewell party. To her surprise, the rich heir showed up too. Figuring they would never see each other again anyway, Bai Yujing unleashed her highest-level sarcasm on him, and their verbal sparring was a spectacular sight. But when she woke up with a hangover, she discovered that the rich heir was asleep right beside her!

"Aaaah!!!!" Bai Yujing's scream echoed through the neighborhood.

Seven years later, Bai Yujing earned her PhD and returned to China, becoming the youngest and most beautiful professor at A University's Graduate School.

One day, the dean handed her a corporate collaboration project. Who would have thought she would run into that rich heir from all those years ago at the project launch meeting?

Rumor had it that Yuan Xingzhou, the second young master of the Yuan Group, was a promising young man and a business prodigy. The only thing people criticized him for was his endless string of scandals, until he attended a university-business collaboration launch meeting.

At the meeting, Yuan Xingzhou saw Bai Yujing again after many years. Now a professor, she seemed mature and composed, no longer the girl who had unleashed her sarcastic barbs whenever she saw him.

But in reality...

Bai Yujing: "Hello, Mr. Yuan." Damn, I knew this scumbag was rich, but I didn't know he was this rich and powerful. Is it too late to turn him down and run now?!

Yuan Xingzhou: Scumbag?!

Wait, he seemed to have heard Bai Yujing's unspoken true thoughts! How interesting!

One-on-one romance, happy ending.

Theme: Sincerity deserves sincerity.
