They met in a car accident, when she was at her lowest. She thought he hated her and would surely make her pay with her life.
They crossed paths by chance in an unexpected incident. He looked down on her for being so useless, called her a fool who deserved what she got, and said she wasn't worth pitying. But at a crucial moment, he dropped the charges and sheltered her from the storm. Later, he couldn't tolerate anyone giving her a hard time. No one was allowed to bully or order her around, not even her family.
No one expected him to fall for Zhang Naihe, least of all himself. His buddies teased him, saying she wasn't good enough for him and that taking her out would only embarrass him.
