Seeking the Sound

When Shen Lin was young, he was "a little terror" and loved nothing more than tormenting his friends. All the children his age were afraid of him.

Xiao Mingnai first met Shen Lin at her cousin's house. Frightened by the unfamiliar surroundings, she cried nonstop. Shen Lin happened to come home then and was mistaken for having bullied her. Later, the two became close, and Mingnai was always following Shen Lin around.

"My cousin says online relationships never work out."

"He's not us. Besides..." He paused. "We're not in an online relationship anymore."

Later, when something happened to Mingnai, Shen Lin never once considered giving up on her.

She said, "In my silent world, you're the only one who can hear my voice."
