Yu Bing was a deep-sea mermaid who lived alone.
During a hunt, she was surrounded by members of the merfolk tribe and badly wounded, forcing her into a deep sleep. When she woke again, she realized she was no longer in the familiar deep sea.
Through the aquarium's thin protective glass, a pair of blazing eyes fixed firmly on her from a dangerously close distance. Their owner's fervent adoration was completely undisguised. The owner was a land-dwelling biped.
It was the gaze of a predator watching its prey.
Silver-white eyes watched the biped trying to lure her a little closer. She decided to give it what it wanted.
She would become its prey.
A pale hand with translucent webbing pressed against the glass, reflecting a beautiful face. Fine cracks spread outward.
The supposedly indestructible protective glass shattered piece by piece. A rush of seawater poured out, and Yu Bing easily pinned the prey that had thought her its own prey to the ground.
The rich scent of flower wine filled her nostrils. Dormant restlessness stirred in her blood. Used to it, Yu Bing lightly brushed her tail to suppress the heat that had returned for who knew how many times since she came of age. She lowered her head to bite the vulnerable, pale neck of the prey that had practically delivered itself to her.
But before she could bite, something soft and warm wound around her tail. The girl lying on the waterlogged floor had a delicate, pale face flushed red. She stared straight at Yu Bing, too embarrassed to hide it.
"A-are you going to mark me?"
When the mermaid didn't answer, the girl pulled open her collar, revealing a clean gland that gave off a dangerously enticing fragrance. Like a worshipper offering herself as a sacrifice, she eagerly arched her upper body and offered her inviting red lips.
Yu Bing stared at the human before her and swished her tail. The legs wrapped around it tightened, heedless of the danger.
She had never seen prey this eager.
