A Beautiful Lady

Zhong Ran was the cherished daughter of an official family, with skin as smooth as ice and snow and unparalleled beauty. From childhood, she was always at Zhou Qianhuai's side, her heart and eyes full of him, even though she knew he had a beloved woman in his heart.

Just as the two families were about to finalize their engagement, the woman he had always yearned for returned. Once married off to a distant land, she was now the widow of a general who had died in battle. Zhou Qianhuai's old feelings came rushing back, and he immediately called off the engagement between the Zhong and Zhou families.

Heartbroken, Zhong Ran accidentally fell into the water and was rescued by Cui Nanxu, Prince Rongyang.

That very day, one of them lost her memory, while the other remembered his past life.

Zhong Ran forgot that she had ever loved Zhou Qianhuai. Cui Nanxu, however, remembered the unbearable agony and bone-deep pain he had felt in his past life when Zhong Ran died before his eyes.

When Zhou Qianhuai saw Zhong Ran again, she treated him like a stranger and no longer called him "Brother Qianhuai." He finally regretted what he had done and wanted to win her back, but by then, Official Zhong had been transferred elsewhere, and his household had moved with him. Zhong Ran was nowhere to be found.

No one knew that Cui Nanxu had used a scheme to keep Zhong Ran at his country estate. Watching her sleep sweetly beside him, Cui Nanxu gently pinched her earlobe, longing to know what Zhong Ran had done in their past life to make him fall so desperately in love with her.

The second male lead gets the girl; both leads are romantically inexperienced.
