The Marriage Plot

1.

Meng Lin had planned to spend her whole life lazing around, but when she reached the right age, her family arranged a business marriage for her. Her intended was none other than one of her university classmates.

"I've heard people in business marriages can do their own thing. Let's stay out of each other's way, too." Meng Lin had seen plenty of such marriages while signing contracts, and didn't want marriage to get in the way of either of their lives.

Later, Meng Lin went to a banquet. It was only nine in the evening when Ke Yi showed up with a group of bodyguards and took her home.

Meng Lin protested: "Ke Yi, didn't you agree to this? Why are you acting like this now?"

Ke Yi: "What are you talking about, honey? What time is it? Why aren't you home yet?"

2.

For Ke Yi, this marriage had been planned all along.

Others did it for their careers or their family's interests. She did it for that one person.

A secret crush that had begun back in university had finally blossomed and borne fruit.
