Synopsis
Note: The update time is changing to 10 p.m. from now on. I've also made a tiny tweak to the blurb.
Also, I feel like something's a bit off with the writing, so I'm planning a major revision.
This hack author has started a new novel. Here's the blurb for now~~
Yao Shu opened her eyes to a gruesome scene of people eating one another, and was certain she'd offended Heaven.
The young girl was delicate and weak, easy to push over, and just the right size to cook up as food.
To avoid losing a limb, Yao Shu could only run for her life, fleeing in a sorry state.
As she left, she raised her middle finger high to show just how unwilling she was.
Damn it, just you wait.
After finally escaping to a little mountain village, her long-overdue golden finger finally came online.
???
Cultivation skills, maximum affinity with plants?
Yao Shu twitched her ears. In the forest, "roar," "croak," "hiss," and "quack" sounded endlessly.
The empty village had only one living person: her. And one other thing: a gravestone.

Not bad. Really, not bad at all!
With dogged determination, she farms and provides for herself. This flower-growing girl from China, with a pocket dimension at her disposal, refuses to give up.
But when God closes one door, He opens a window.
At their first meeting, the man stood tall in a pool of blood, alert and agile as a patterned leopard in the forest.
Good heavens!!!
At their next meeting, the pure moonlight outlined his exceptionally elegant features. As he turned, silver light glinted in his long, narrow eyes. With his tattered clothes and the blood running beneath his dagger, he looked like an undefeated god of war cornered by fate.
This...
I'm kind of falling for him!
After meeting him N times, she found him gentle yet decisive, considerate yet respectful of boundaries, and skilled in all the gentlemanly arts. Yet he treated her with complete sincerity and never hid even his most vulnerable moments.
Yao Shu...
Girls, I'm going for it!
The male lead's version:
He, Song Qianxiu, was born in Jiangnan and raised in a border town. He fought his way through enemy ranks, earning every merit through military service. After finally saving enough to support his mother in her old age, he was told that there had been a mistake about his parentage.
My child, you are the Fourth Prince of the current dynasty, born to nobility, a prince of the imperial line!
And so the tough soldier, who had spent his youth in military camps, was forced to act like an elegant, refined gentleman.
Gentle and refined, a gentleman as flawless as jade: "Brother Lin, there's no need for thanks. I, Song, merely did what little I could."
Damn it, you know I put in the hard work, so hurry up and pay me!
Respectful to his father and mother above, loving toward his siblings below: "Xiu was unable to serve at Father's and Mother's side in his early years. My second brother and the others have been serving them in my stead, and I already feel deeply indebted. How could I ask for a reward?"
"If Father insists on rewarding me, I humbly ask that you share it with Mother and my siblings, so I may fulfill my duty as a filial son and loving brother."
Damn it all, I've taken a huge loss.
Unexpectedly, the world changed overnight. Earthquakes and epidemics broke out one after another, while the imperial court and royal family were so busy fighting over the succession that they gave up entirely.
With chaos taking hold, Song Qianxiu decided to go all in and head for the border town with a few brothers.
He thought he could finally roam as freely as a fish in the sea or a bird in the sky, but Heaven was cruel, and their five thousand soldiers were about to starve.
Fortunately, Song Qianxiu was quietly grateful: he had gained a "goddaughter" from China with maxed-out talent.
Ever since his "goddaughter" became his sweet little wife, thousands of acres of good farmland had sprung up, cities had risen from the ground, and the population under his rule had surged with waves of new arrivals. Song Qianxiu was blissfully happy, but couldn't help feeling a little troubled.
That night, in a loose white robe, his honey-colored chest just barely showing, the man let his dark hair fall over his shoulders. Tender and affectionate, he gazed at her lovingly:
Wife, do we have to get up early tomorrow?
Wife, should we think about having a child?
Wife, when are we going to make up for our honeymoon trip?
#The secret to living off your wife: Her cooking is delicious!#
#Girls, I'm going for it!#
#Shocking! A "goddaughter" becomes a lover: Is it a collapse of morality or a distortion of human nature?#
#My son, you're the absolute best! You're amazing!#
Notes: 1. The female lead is not the male lead's "goddaughter." Other people tease him about it.
2. The male lead isn't stingy; he's just a bit rough around the edges. Those are only his speech habits.
3. The setting is loosely modeled on the Song dynasty, with plenty of fictional additions. Historical accuracy fans, enter at your own risk!
4. The male lead is eleven years older than the female lead, though their actual ages aren't far apart.
5. ...That's probably everything. I might add more later.
Theme: Face natural and human-made disasters, and live toward the light.
