After My Twisted Older Brother Set His Sights on Me

Recommended completed novels: "The Tyrant's Heart and Soul" and "The Tyrant's Little Wildcat"

It was common knowledge throughout the Shen household that her elder brother had a strange temperament and kept his distance from women.

But only Shen Shu knew the filthy thoughts her aloof brother secretly harbored. She would never forget the strange look in his eyes as he stroked a portrait that looked just like her, right in front of her in the secret room. It was not a look an older brother should have.

That look was like a venomous snake lurking in the dark, crawling into her dreams night after night. Escaping the Shen family and marrying someone were her only way out.

Before long, she had found someone: Wang, the young scholar next door who sold calligraphy and paintings.

But who could have guessed that on the eve of her wedding, her mother would bring home a strange man?

Her father cursed her mother as a shameless woman and threatened to drown her in a pig cage.

And the letter from her mother went so far as to accuse her of not being a Shen.

At night, nightmares came crashing down. Candlelight fell across the man's exquisite features, making him look like a demon who bewitched the world.

Shen Shu trembled with fear, clutching her clothes to her chest as tears rolled from her eyes. "Please..."

Behind the red curtains was a face streaked with tears. He kissed away the tears on her cheeks. "Why are you crying? Does my little sister still want to get married?"

A trembling gasp escaped her throat as he pushed her onto the bed. His cold, ragged breathing reached her ear. "Xiao Gu, you've been naughty. You need to be punished..."

Reader advisory: No romantic feelings develop while their relationship remains in place. Coercive romance, melodrama, a second male lead, and an unapologetically cruel male lead.

A cliched story of you running and me chasing, where escape is impossible. The heroine will run away again later on.

Theme: If you are a pearl, then I will be jade.
