A story about a failed attempt at raising someone that leads to a win-them-back-at-all-costs pursuit.
Everyone fears the Pure Lotus Demon Venerable. They say he is violent, tyrannical, vicious, and ruthless, feared by gods and demons throughout the Three Realms.
There are also plenty of scandalous tales about his romantic affairs. The most salacious is that he keeps a soft, delicate furnace in his Buddha-Demon Hall, where they spend every day and night in bed together.
But no one expected that this mere furnace would one day dare to run away, provoking the Demon Venerable to stir up the Three Realms and throw everything into chaos.
Everyone complains, calling him a foolish tyrant who makes a mountain out of a molehill.
Jun Yuan, however, doesn't care in the least.
The only person he cares about, whom he went to great lengths to capture, is now holding a knife to his heart and smiling sweetly as always. "Big brother, do you know... you treated me exactly like this in my previous life."
.
Nan Yi once loved someone.
For three hundred lonely years, he grew up by this person's side, and this person gave him his name and everything else. His heart and eyes held only Jun Yuan.
Unfortunately, Jun Yuan didn't love him.
He saw him as nothing more than a furnace for cultivation.
Like a moth to a flame, Nan Yi gave him everything. His love ended in a shattered dream as he watched Jun Yuan marry someone else, while Nan Yi's blood stained the wedding feast.
.
After being reborn, Nan Yi lets go of many things, especially love.
Yet the very people who once cast him aside like trash, looked down on him for being a furnace, and mocked him as a pretty face... suddenly start lining up to fawn over him.
Even Jun Yuan watches him possessively, with those dark phoenix eyes, thin-lidded and slightly lowered, fixed on him without looking away.
.
Nan Yi only wants to escape.
After faking his death, he planned to leave the past behind.
But the once-arrogant Pure Lotus Demon Venerable, who looked down on all living beings, kneels before him with no regard for his dignity. "...It's all right. I can wait a hundred years, a thousand years."
"Please, don't leave me."
[Arrogant, devoted, cold, jealous top who is like a big brother x sweet, obedient beauty bottom who pretends to be soft and weak]
P.S. For detailed content warnings, see the author's note in Chapter One.
There are hidden truths about the previous life. The top occasionally loses control. The bottom is weak in the early chapters and becomes mildly irresistible later. Plenty of foreshadowing. One-on-one romance, happy ending.

Please add my upcoming novel, Does the Deposed Crown Prince Have to Be Gay?, to your favorites.
[Two princes at odds, enemies-to-lovers, a wickedly teasing and unruly bottom who loves to flirt x a cunning, aloof, beautiful top. The bottom volunteers to be the receptive partner, only to be soundly turned around.]
Southern Xia has a notorious playboy crown prince, Fu Ye, who is promiscuous and merciless in battle. He once slaughtered thirteen cities in an enemy kingdom and fears nothing.
What is this prince most afraid of?
Homosexuality.
Northern Xia favors men. After losing the war, it offers countless beauties to win him over, but... only manages to enrage the crown prince.
Fu, as straight as they come, declares, "Even if I die, I'll never fall for a man."
.
After Northern Xia loses the war, its ruler sacrifices his own precious crown prince, Yan Zhibai, and sends him as a hostage to save the kingdom.
Just after arriving in the capital, Yan Zhibai happens upon Fu Ye riding by. Fu Ye lifts the curtain of his prison cart and gives him a playful smile. "Oh, little sister-in-law?"
Yan Zhibai holds his disabled knees and looks coldly up at Fu Ye.
Later, the crown prince Fu loses his mind and forgets his own name.
He not only dismisses all the beauties in his household, but also runs to the embassy every few days, bringing flowers one day and a letter the next to the disabled prince.
He even openly interrupts Yan Zhibai's betrothal to his older brother and steals him away.
Everyone cries out, "My lord! Weren't you afraid of gay people? Didn't you swear you'd rather die than give in?"
Fu, now suddenly not so straight, sneers. "Better to die beneath peonies and live a life of pleasure."
.
Before transmigrating into a book, Yan Zhibai was a crown prince cherished by the whole nation. Unfortunately, he trusted the wrong people. His lover betrayed him, then his lover's younger brother conquered his kingdom.
He intended to turn the tide, but from the start his legs were broken, he was made a hostage, and he had to endure constant teasing from a playboy younger brother.
Yan Zhibai remains calm and composed, apparently forced into this position, but his dark, indecent desire has already spread like wildfire.
More than once, he has wanted to restrain those long fingers that dare to tease him, invade and conquer, trade kisses, then leave his prey marked with dark red bruises that belong to him alone.
Devour him whole.
Yan Zhibai patiently waits and endures, until Fu Ye says he wants to hide him away?
"Who's hiding whom?" Yan Zhibai bites down hard on the smooth nape of his neck and gently wipes away the tears of the person beneath him. "You still have a lot to learn."
"Call me little sister-in-law one more time, and I'll teach you how to make someone feel good."
Reader's Guide:
The blurb is provisional. Screenshots of the first outline and blurb were archived in May 2022. The outline and blurb may change before the novel begins.
1. The top is disabled early on, but recovers. He falls for the bottom and plays the fool to catch his prey.
2. One-on-one, both chaste. The top transmigrates into a book. His original body had been involved with the bottom's older brother.
3. They pretend to be affectionate, play cat and mouse, and bite each other like rabid dogs.
Theme: Stay true to yourself in difficult times and face life with a positive attitude.
It's pretty good, but the ending is a little bit sloppy and the ending left me confused.
It feels like Tao Tao and his senior brother are a couple
If you have the chance, let's see you next time! I still like the attack and shou characters in this book. I really can't stand the good attack and strong shou. Come on!
Want to read the locked chapter?
Although the author always says that some people can't stand it, I think it's great!!! It may indeed be different from traditional fairy tales, but it cannot be concealed that he is really good-looking! Although Gong and Shou didn't really get together until the end of the story, the interaction and getting along with each other in the middle was also very good. Unlike many stories where the relationship is over after the abuse of Shou, the relationship between Attack and Suffering was very good (it didn't feel like a compliment), but it didn't make me feel that either side was paying too much and was unbalanced. The writing is also very good!
At the end of the story, Jun Yuan finally learned how to love someone.
Nice! Looking forward to the next one
I've finished reading it. It's so good. I've read this type of novel before. Either the writing was bad or it was weird. I don't have it in this one. I like it so much. Nan Yi and Jun Yuan are happy.
I still miss my gentle senior brother
Do I have all the labels ordered?
