The Woman Who Raised a Mermaid

[Easygoing powerhouse heroine * Merman hero who was wickedly beautiful before losing his memory, and a dramatic little flower afterward]

Fu Shitu was a sword cultivator, once the top swordswoman in the xianxia genre. She suddenly landed in the interstellar age and became a girl who had just turned down the inheritance of a wealthy family’s chief heir.

While others piloted mechs, she rode her sword.

While others built machinery, she drew talismans.

Just as Fu Shitu was about to either starve or slaughter her way through the world, someone picked her up and made her their chief knight. Thus began her new life among the stars: being raised as her main career, and working as a bounty hunter on the side to save up a dowry for her future wife.

Then one day, following someone else’s example, she picked up a beautiful merman who was nothing but trouble.

**

The legendary merman: beautiful, powerful, savage, and cold-blooded.

The merman she raised: so beautiful it was devastating, with a personality that defied description. He was a hopeless weakling, a vain and haughty show-off who hid behind other people’s power, and his head was full of tacky romance stories and pickup lines!

Fu: Can I return him with free shipping?

Troublesome merman: You dare!

Fu raised an eyebrow: I don't dare?

The merman gritted his teeth: If you dare not want me, I'll... I'll cry for you!

From the merman's perspective:

Thaddeus / Qin Zigui was of lowly blood, strikingly beautiful and cold. He followed the law of the jungle, struggling to crawl up from the deep sea. He had briefly possessed glory, only to fall once more into an even deeper abyss.

He had never hoped anyone would pick him up.

Until he woke after losing his memory one day.

He opened his eyes indifferently, only to find himself sitting amid dazzling jewels scattered across the floor, his fish tail curled affectionately around a young woman's waist.

When Thaddeus came to his senses: ?

Much later, Thaddeus stood drenched in blood, smiling more beautifully and madly than ever. His hoarse voice whispered in Fu Shitu's ear like a demon's, yet he was pleading for love:

"Eighteen-year-old Qin Zigui was within reach, but twenty-eight-year-old Thaddeus could not have you even if he tore out his scales and bones."

"Why?"
