After My Strategy Failed, I Forgot Him

To win over the villain, I gave him whatever he wanted.

Even when he fell on hard times and turned evil, I stayed by his side.

Because he couldn't walk... I carried him across ten thousand li on the road to immortality. Even when my feet were covered in blood... I never gave up.

I thought he must have liked me at least a little, after everything we'd been through together... But reality slapped me right in the face.

The heroine and I fell into the Ghostly Abyss at the same time. I thought he would grab me.

But that was only what I thought. Even though I was so close to him... he still rushed over and grabbed the heroine's hand.

I never cried, not even when my feet were raw and bleeding. But now I was a pathetic mess, tears all over my face... and that's how I died, looking so wretched.

Because I failed to win him over, I lost my old memories. When I saw him again... he was a ragged boy with blood-red eyes, frightening enough to make anyone uneasy. I stammered, "Who are you?"

As if struck by a terrible blow, he broke down in an instant, his voice trembling. "How dare you forget me?!"
