Lin Lele, living in the 21st century, is a little autistic and world-weary. That's not all: she's also incapable of feeling emotions. To put it plainly, she's mentally ill. Life feels meaningless to her, as bland as drinking plain water. She takes a few sleeping pills, hoping for a peaceful death, but the psychological trauma still hurts. What makes her angriest is that she endured all that pain for nothing: she doesn't die, but instead transmigrates to a matriarchal kingdom and becomes Li Lele.
Li Lele is pretty pitiful, too, but her father had the foresight to leave her the deeds to three houses in another town. Just after getting married, she becomes unpopular, and she's even the homewrecker who broke up someone else's relationship. So the very next day, she gets a divorce agreement from her new husband, Young Master Wu.
She had planned to spend the rest of her life alone. But some things are apparently fated. She saves someone's life and ends up bringing trouble upon herself for the rest of her life. The kind she can't get rid of, either. It's all her own fault for being so reckless that she tore off nearly all his clothes, leaving him in nothing but his underwear.
Lu Ming: “You saw me naked and still don't want to take responsibility? You heartless woman.”
Li Lele: “No, listen to me. I was just wiping you down so I could apply medicine. I didn't see anything. You still had your underwear on, didn't you? That proves your innocence.”
Lu Ming's face turned red and he practically smoked, whether from anger or embarrassment: “I've never met anyone as shameless as you. You're the scum who ruined my innocence and won't even admit it.”
Li Lele: “Thanks for the compliment.”
Lu Ming: ...
In the end, Li Lele learned firsthand about the 'you'll love it once you try it' rule.
