[Western Crossover] Complete a Mission, Get a Boyfriend

Anya, who had only one thing on her mind: making money, thought this was seriously messed up!

As the chosen one, she died, but not quite. And the System she encountered wasn't some flashy, domineering world-ending System. That was a good thing.

The "Never Short of Money for Anything" System. Just listen to that name. Wasn't it her lifelong dream?

For the sake of the System's absolutely perfect name, she didn't mind if its golden finger was good-for-nothing, if the System was stupid and constantly set its Host up for trouble, or if she had to train her skills bit by bit herself.

But could someone tell her where she could report this stupid System that abused its position to change her main quest without permission, then came running along to chase celebrities?

Not only did it make no money, it also expected her to pay out of pocket to send flowers to superheroes.

Seriously?

This was the "Never Short of Money for Anything" System, not some "Superhero Outreach" System.

Cynthia worked at a tavern. The owner gave all the employees time off, leaving her to work herself to the bone and keep the entire place running alone. She could mix drinks and cook, and every now and then, she even had to get into a fight.

A bard named Venti often came by for drinks without paying. They got into a fight.

A man named Zhongli came by for food and drinks, looking all respectable, but claimed he had no money. They got into another fight.

The tavern was called the Dawn Winery. Once Cynthia had saved enough for travel expenses, she decided to fire the unscrupulous owner.

She remembered having a beloved husband, and that the two of them were soulmates.

In Gotham, a phoenix was reborn, single-handedly giving the entire city hope and bringing news of her beloved.

The good news: her deadbeat husband was actually still alive.

The bad news: just how devoted he was remained open to question.

Cynthia began to wonder whether she should go claim her family ties.

"He's Gotham's richest man. His fortune could buy the entire city."

"Hey, handsome, are you my husband who went missing all those years ago?"
