Sakaguchi Ango is devastated by the news of Oda Sakunosuke's death and passes out in his office. When he wakes up, he finds himself with a System: "How to Become an Excellent Undercover Agent."
The System tells him that his disastrous work as an undercover agent got his best friend killed, leaving even higher-dimensional beings heartbroken. The will of the higher-dimensional world and the regret of countless Sakaguchi Angos from parallel worlds have combined to create the System.
The System can give Sakaguchi Ango one chance to start over, but he must pass a trial: without being exposed as an undercover agent, he must help a public security agent from another world, ZERO, save his undercover childhood friend.
After reviewing the Detective Conan plot, Sakaguchi Ango thinks that Furuya Rei really is the hard-working emperor. This righteous working man decides that he'll not only save Scotland, but also try to save the police academy squad and protect the nation's promising future.

Furuya Rei, a public security agent undercover under the codename Bourbon, looks at his cold, refined superior and thinks, "If I get the chance, I'm definitely sending you to prison!"
But he never expected that later, he wouldn't send his superior to prison. Instead, the two of them would end up in bed together, before his superior stabbed him hard in the chest.
Even more unbelievably, once everything has settled, he discovers that his superior, long since sleeping beneath the earth, had been an undercover agent no one knew about.
The love in his heart is crushed just as it's about to bloom, but when it's on the verge of turning to ashes, it rises again from the flames.
