Some say love is like the sand in your hand: the harder you try to hold on to it, the faster it slips away.
Sand Between the Fingers -- Lan Ting Xiao Sheng
Only in my twilight years do I think of my youth,
Childhood innocence was filled with fleeting illusions.
Time flies, and the past is hard to look back on,
Just like a beauty's face, slipping through one's fingers like sand.
This is a story about a mature woman searching for love. The premise is clichéd, and my writing is quite ordinary too. I haven't written anything for eight years, but today I finally decided to begin a new story. I'm afraid I'm a bit rusty.
If you like this story, friends, please feel free to share your valuable suggestions. If you don't like it, please slip away quietly. I don't expect everyone to like it; I just hope to keep improving with your help.
