Yosano Ito is a man with naturally curly hair, just an ordinary wage worker.
Apart from having lost his memory, having a little cheat ability, and working at a detective agency in Yokohama, he occasionally takes odd jobs. There's nothing special about him.
His cheat ability is also exceptionally unreliable. He can't turn it off himself, and it uses up a huge amount of magical energy.
You could say it's more trouble than it's worth.
But while taking an odd job one day, Ito's hand slipped and he cut a little too much, leaving him face-to-face with a certain bomb.
A curse was chasing him from behind, a bomb with a ticking countdown was right in front of him, and beside him stood a bomb disposal cop who had frozen in place because Ito had suddenly appeared. Ito remembered his senior warning him before he left that he might have a particularly unlucky day.
At the time, he'd thought his senior was just mad at him for sneaking a pastry, so he hadn't taken it seriously. Looking at things now... He really ought to bring something back and apologize.
Hagiwara Kenji had dreamed countless times of the explosion that killed Matsuda Jinpei, the fireworks ignited with the life and blood of his closest friend. Yet no matter how many times he dreamed it, he could never make out the face of the person in his dreams.
But years later, now that he was about to face the same kind of death as that person, he saw that face once again. The difference was that the familiar face's eyes, which should have been azure blue, now shone with an unmistakable rainbow light...

P.P.S. The protagonist takes the place of Hagiwara in the original death scene. He has a cheat ability, has connected to the Root, and is a fish that slipped through the net of the Sealing Designation.
