Shen Nake opened the mirror again.
She picked out a shirt. She could no longer remember how it had ended up in her wardrobe. It was the kind of shirt she never used to choose, but today, for some inexplicable reason, she picked it.
She looked at herself in the mirror. The familiar scent on the shirt and the face reflected in the glass became a powerful current of neural electricity, shooting straight at the hippocampal cells that lay dormant within her. Confused and with a splitting headache, she began to cry.
A sense of emptiness at having lost something washed over her. She tried to remember, but her brain cells seemed like a patient weeping in their sleep, enduring immense suffering in a dream while their slumber kept their memories locked away. Or perhaps they simply could not wake up.
She knew she had lost something, but she couldn't remember anything. The lost thing was on the verge of surfacing in her memory, so familiar, yet impossible to recall. It felt as though she had lost the one she loved forever.
What had she lost? Herself, perhaps.
Theme: The divine decree says, "You must not let him know himself." Have you ever felt, at certain moments, that everything was strange? Maybe it's because you've entered someone else's body and forgotten who you are.
Dad, where are you? Come back soon!
Very fast writing, good thinking, but the writing skills need to be improved.
