Story summary: A playboy gong becomes devoted.
From Su Lianwen's (shou) perspective:
On the surface, Su Lianwen is a cold, mysterious movie star who has won every major award. In private, he's a voice enthusiast. He loves listening to audio dramas and has been active on Chinese voice-acting forums for years. He knows every voice actor inside out, but with deep voices becoming so common these days, he's grown a little tired of them.
One day, while listening to a drama, he discovered a voice actor with a clear, youthful voice: clean and warm. He immediately became a devoted fan of this hidden gem, Fuxuan.
He kept following the young voice actor. The man had a versatile voice, great acting, high-quality productions, and almost never abandoned a project. It took him five years to go from an unknown newcomer to a major star, and Su Lianwen quietly supported him throughout those five years.
Then one day, Fuxuan suddenly announced a temporary hiatus, sending the voice-acting community into an uproar of grief.
Su Lianwen's heart broke, too. Every night, he fell asleep listening to the audio dramas Fuxuan had voiced and recordings of fan events he'd attended, joining all the other devoted fans in hoping the star would return to voice acting.
Three years later, Fuxuan really did return. He took on new dramas and even started livestreaming once or twice.
Although he didn't take many roles or livestream often, Su Lianwen was already satisfied. Every time he heard Fuxuan's now-mature, warm voice singing, reading, or chatting, he couldn't help sending gifts, until he successfully sent himself to the top of the rankings.
From Ying Fuxuan's (gong) perspective:
If someone told Ying Fuxuan that the top supporter throwing money around in his livestream was an actor he admired, and even a certain award-winning movie star, he'd probably rationally analyze the odds and conclude that the probability was zero.
If that person then told him the top supporter had been a fan of his voice-acting persona for many years, he might actually let out a rare cold laugh and tell them to go get themselves checked into a psychiatric ward.
But it wasn't until the day they met in person that he discovered events with a zero probability could really happen.
Ying Fuxuan: ??? Is this really not some new kind of online scam?
