Cen Ming x Qing Yun
Open ending
An encounter in one's youth can stay with someone for the rest of their life. A deliberately contrived ending can't capture the heartache of a youthful secret crush.
Qing Yun didn't like Cen Ming because he was handsome. She fell for him because, the year they met, he was always smiling at her.
Memory returns to that midsummer. The weather wasn't particularly good, but the memory remains vivid. Qing Yun was walking alongside her friends when she suddenly saw Cen Ming coming toward her.
"You've already scored over ten."
"Thirteen."
"Which school are you applying to?"
"I'm aiming for the accelerated tablet class."
"Okay."
She never expected the boy who had said he was aiming for the accelerated tablet class to raise his hand when the department head asked who planned to apply to a private school. He even remembered to glance at her twice.
That July, I took out my phone and snapped a photo. It showed more than just my admission letter. It showed him, and my youth.
