After being sentenced to death in his original world, Jiang Wei opened his eyes in the world of a manga, landing right in front of Karasuma Renya. He then became the real mastermind behind the Black Organization.

Karasuma Renya, the one known as the boss, became his puppet, a real puppet in the supernatural sense of the word.

Because Jiang Wei was a paper effigy maker.

And not just any paper effigy maker. He had an overpowered advantage: the skills of a corpse seamster.

Although he couldn't turn back the tide of time, he could bring paper effigies to life and resurrect the dead, making them his most loyal subordinates or secret identities. All it took was a small price...

Jiang Wei remembered an article he'd been recommended explaining the meaning of "white moonlight," so when he met Matsuda Jinpei, he said, "So you and your childhood friend are a couple? It must be hard being left a widower, huh?"

Matsuda Jinpei: "???"

Some time later.

Jiang Wei: "Why don't you come warm my bed, Jinpei?"

Matsuda Jinpei: "???"

*Mini-scene 2:

Gin taught Fengyue Liquor how to shoot. Fifteen minutes later, he turned and walked away as if he'd seen a ghost.

Jiang Wei instinctively grabbed Gin by his long silver hair.

Gin: Without a moment's hesitation, he slashed through that lock of silver hair.

Content warnings

1. The supernatural stuff is made up, and I haven't studied it systematically. There won't be much of it, just a little about paper effigy makers and corpse seamsters. Most of it is made up, made up, made up! Don't overthink it. If you do, it just means the author is an idiot.

2. The protagonist's values are skewed, but his values aren't the author's, so please don't conflate the two. This story contains fringe subjects such as paper effigies and corpse seamsters. It's not very scary, but please read with caution. If you can't handle it, let me know and I can make changes. Please don't report it without talking to me.

3. The protagonist has no romantic pairing, and the original canon couples won't be broken up. I watched the anime a long time ago and have mostly forgotten it (I've read too much fanfiction and got ahead of myself thinking I could write some, cough). I'll try to keep everyone in character, so please go easy on me.

4. The protagonist isn't entirely human, so please read with caution! The police academy crew die and come back to life over and over. It might end happily, or it might not. There's no deliberate torment, just events unfolding naturally according to the characters. I really do love them, so I don't know why the plot has run so far away from me... Read at your own risk.
