Plot summary:
A boy's abuse leads to a murder case.
To clear his mother's name,
he must endure society's prejudice,
bring the scandal into the open, and face a beast in court.
Bullied by those in power, betrayed by his childhood friend, and crushed by public opinion,
he is fortunate to meet a righteous lawyer,
like a ray of sunlight shining into the abyss of despair.
Monologue from the story:
"I'm not fighting a lawsuit. I'm saving the person I love most!
Yes, we're lovers! Do gay people deserve to be discriminated against?
Is our love not love? Just because we're a minority,
and our relationship doesn't fit the Three Bonds and Five Constants, should we be mocked?
Isn't all love beautiful?
Why must there be distinctions of rank and worth? Why must it be stamped out and crushed?
When you do this, so self-righteously defending your propriety,
is that fair to people who love each other?"
Content warnings:
1. This is an angsty story, but it has a happy ending.
2. The protagonist has been sexually violated by force.
3. The protagonist ends up with a different love interest.
Please note:
1. This is a revised, abridged edition of my first novel, written in an old-fashioned style. Not recommended.
2. The story involves a court case. The early chapters set up the plot, while the later chapters include courtroom arguments. It is set in a fictional modern world, and the court proceedings are based on the Anglo-American legal system.
3. The case has a dark background, and the story follows a journey from darkness to healing. Intended for readers aged 21 and over.
Theme: One person's arrival can turn every misfortune into something in the past.
My heart can't bear it anymore. No good person ends well.
The writing is great
It's really sad and realistic. The copywriting alone makes me sad, but it's so beautiful.
I have been following it silently until this point. This may be the first time I have seen such a realistic online novel. It is so cruel.
Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo miserable, my baby
Keep chasing ~ come on
