The Fifth Year Since My Love Letter Was Rejected

[They only realized after getting married that they'd got the husband's name wrong] [Reunion after years apart]

Xu Jin was drawn to Jiang Yueheng's face and had a secret crush on him for two years. Just before he graduated, she handed him a love letter. But when he opened it, he tore it to shreds right in front of her, then turned and walked away, his back radiating anger.

Five years later, the two ran into each other at a drinks party. In the dim light, sparks flew. Xu Jin couldn't help asking the question that had weighed on her heart for years: "You could've just rejected me. Why tear up the letter right in front of me? Is this how Mr. Jiang treats people?"

The man gave her a cool look. "What do you think?"

In his three years of high school, Jiang Yueheng had received countless love letters, but only ever accepted one. When he opened it, he realized it wasn't meant for him at all. It was for Jiang Xing, the basketball team captain in his class. He coldly tore up the letter and walked away, only to see the girl's eyes redden. At the time, he thought it was just a ripple on the calm surface of a lake. He never expected that, five years later, he still wouldn't be able to forget that moment.

[Bonus Scene]

After getting together with Jiang Yueheng, Xu Jin attended his class reunion. Someone called out to a stranger, "A Xing, come sit over here."

Xu Jin turned in shock to Jiang Yueheng beside her. "That one's A Xing? Then who are you?" Hadn't someone once deliberately mispronounced Jiang Yueheng's name, reading heng as xing?

Jiang Yueheng practically ground out the words: "Your husband."
