After pretending to be a priest and conducting academic research, Akabane Akino was kicked into the Japanese police academy after he'd thoroughly fooled his thirty-eighth victim and blown up eighteen rooms in his organization's laboratory. He became a proud police cadet.
Well, maybe not that proud. He was a troublemaker, and several of his classmates were troublemakers too.
The instructor's low blood pressure kept getting cured. Was it a distortion of human nature, or a collapse of morality?
His ordinary (?) academy life ended when Akabane Akino received a message his mother had left behind. After reading the diary, he said, "OK, fine. You're all pretty good at courting death."
With his blood pressure through the roof, Akabane Akino sneaked out that night to steal the instructor's blood pressure medication. He shakily swallowed a handful, then proudly set off on the heartbreaking path of saving his troublemaking classmates.
Little scenes:
1. After the thirty-eighth laboratory explosion, Akabane Akino said he had only done it on the spur of the moment and hadn't expected it to blow up. Apparently, the support staff and Gin both had to swallow blood pressure medication that day to keep themselves from beating him up.
2. "Father, I confess." Rei Furuya held back a laugh and said it with a straight face. Beside him, Jinpei Matsuda put on an equally insincere look of repentance.
Akabane Akino opened his well-worn Bible and gave Rei Furuya a vicious grin. "Go to the Sanzu River, you bastard!"
A pile of phone parts lay nearby, bearing witness to its gruesome demise.
As the wind rustled through the leaves, Akabane Akino achieved a critical hit with his book!
Reader's Guide:
1. Akabane Akino: Romanized as Akabane Akino.
2. The protagonist is a true criminal, but this is a police academy story. The story follows my own version of a rescue plot, so here begins the effort to save them. The goal is to save them, so it should be fairly lighthearted.
3. Akabane Akino's mother was a transmigrator. She died before the main story begins. There won't be much about his mother, but proceed with caution if that's a sore spot for you.
4. There is no CP in this story, and that will not change. You can ship characters if you like, but please don't argue about it.
5. The story will include some non-Detective Conan and non-scientific elements, but not many. Proceed with caution if that's a sore spot for you.
6. The protagonist will probably have a secret identity. Consider this an advance warning.
7. I can't think of any other potential triggers right now. I'll add them if I remember any.
