The Immortal Venerable's Child Was Kidnapped by the Demon Venerable

As the only bloodline of an Immortal Venerable living among mortals, Qu Yunshi was born with innate knowledge. He was brilliant, possessed a natural immortal physique, yet his most trusted friend ripped out that immortal bone and stole two of his three souls: Shuangling, the paternal soul responsible for intelligence, and Fushi, the life soul that governs the seven mortal spirits. The friend transferred them into the servant who had grown up alongside Qu Yunshi, then went with him to the Immortal Realm to seek out their family and embark on the path of cultivation together.

The once-favored child of heaven was betrayed by the two people he trusted most. In a single day, he fell from the clouds and became a mindless, walking corpse. After accidentally falling into the water, he turned into a dazed little water ghost.

Every night, he would wait by the riverbank for someone to come and help him move on to reincarnation, but everyone who saw him ran away.

Until one day, he finally caught a big idiot.

The Demon Lord Yan Feizhou was preparing to wage war on the Immortal Realm. He came to the mortal world to inspect the ghosts, but as he passed by a river, a little water ghost grabbed his ankle.

He summoned the Book of Life and Death, discovered an enormous secret, and laughed.

Well, would you look at that. The Immortal Venerable's brat, his sworn enemy...

The Demon Lord crouched down and looked at the little ghost. "Even if you drag me down as your scapegoat, you still can't reincarnate with one soul and one spirit missing."

The little water ghost, sprawled by the riverbank, clutched the Demon Lord's ankle with both hands and tilted his head, gazing at him in confusion.

The Demon Lord smiled until his eyes narrowed. "How about I make you the lord of the River of the Dead?"

The war between immortals and demons

The Demon Lord pointed at the Immortal Venerable across the battlefield and gave the new lord of the River of the Dead an order, a malicious smile on his face. "Go. Kill him."

But the little water ghost, whom the big idiot had hauled up onto the bank, spotted the two enemies standing beside the Immortal Venerable and charged forward, claws bared. "Awooo!"

"Smack!"

The million-strong armies of immortals and demons: "..."

The Immortal Venerable: "..."

The Demon Lord: "..." His smile abruptly vanished.

Looking at the little water ghost sprawled on the ground, the overconfident Demon Lord finally remembered:

Water ghosts may be unimaginably strong in the water and rule the rivers.

But on land, they're just weak little losers with no strength in their limbs.

Pretty, dim-witted little water ghost uke (Qu Yunshi) x Demon Lord seme (Yan Feizhou)
