#Gentle, Jade-Like Empress & Adorable, Airheaded Little Female Emperor#
Song Zhezhe inherited the throne from her elder sister and was forced to marry the members of her harem.
Her former brothers-in-law had all become her husbands, each more beautiful and distinctive than the last.
Unfortunately, Zhezhe couldn't be happy about it. She had a secret nobody knew: she was extremely afraid of men.
Literally. Seeing one made her feel like throwing up, and she couldn't stop herself.
Her consorts competed so fiercely they nearly tore the roof off. While working herself to exhaustion handling state affairs, she also had to fight tooth and nail against their schemes.
The Noble Consort was graceful and light on his feet. One night, he came into her room dressed in white gauze, draped it over her shoulders, and blew in her ear. She screamed and cried that there was a ghost.
The Worthy Consort was incredibly learned and waited every day along her usual route to play the zither. She had to sneak off, take a detour, and climb over a wall to get back to the palace. The patrolling guards mistook her for an assassin, arrested her, and locked her in a dungeon for a whole day.
As for the Virtuous Consort, he was even worse. He put a knife to her throat and told her to either die or give him a child.
Being emperor is for the dogs!
Zhezhe favored the Empress because he was the most obedient, the most well-behaved, the most considerate, and the most understanding. His eyes were as gentle as water, and he never tried to compete for her favor.
Song Zhezhe was least afraid of him. At first, she was merely tempted by the pastries he made. In the end, she showered all her favor on him, above everyone else in the Six Palaces.
But one day, Zhezhe discovered why he wasn't eager to compete for her favor: he had already had someone else in his heart for a long time, his white moonlight.
After learning the truth, Song Zhezhe's eyes filled with tears. She planned to find somewhere to hide and have a good cry.
But the Empress followed the sound of her crying all the way to her, gently stroking her hair. “Your Majesty, as long as you don't cry, I'll agree to anything.”
She blinked her tear-filled eyes. “Could you stop loving her, please?”
The Empress continued smiling gently. “No.”
One-on-one romance, both leads are pure.
There is only one male lead. This is a nontraditional matriarchal setting; I chose the matriarchal tag only because the heroine is a female emperor.
Sweet and angsty, with a silly everyday tone.
The male lead's white moonlight is the heroine herself.
(The first book in the Female Emperor series.)
Theme: Love life.
The superficial empress: both good and fun-loving The actual empress: strategizing
I'm not happy, I failed Level 4.
Cheers (? ??_??)?
Nice! ! ! The author is great. You can read the one by Little Dad next time. I love the writing. I keep following the author's writing.
Why don't we do an if extra episode? ?
"Only worthy of being a wife" is a big bug for the author~ Only worthy of being a chess piece
(Applause) Great writing in big letters! Come on come on
It's so miserable. It hurts to look at it. How can someone who really likes the heroine be willing to let her suffer like this?
Alas, I feel like her sister is actually just average to the heroine (very well written!! I love reading it)
Something happened tonight, so I won't update.
