After writing the first three chapters, I felt the story wasn’t quite working, so I’m putting it on hold for now.

On the day she turned 27, her boyfriend dumped Song Yaozhu to climb the social ladder.
After a breakup meal, Song Yaozhu walked back to the office in the rain to work overtime and ran into the new assistant in the elevator lobby.
Young and handsome, tall and striking.
On impulse, Song Yaozhu took the assistant out for the Valentine’s Day dinner he had booked long ago.
Once the alcohol went to his head, he took the assistant home, too.
The next day, Song Yaozhu stared blankly at the bite marks on the assistant’s neck.
“Teacher Song bit me,” Wei Chengfeng said with a smile. “Don’t you remember?”

Wei Chengfeng was young, considerate, handsome, thoughtful, and perfect in every way.
Rumors were flying around the office that the boss’s son, a prestigious university graduate with an overseas education on his resume, was about to parachute into the company and take Song Yaozhu’s position.
Song Yaozhu couldn’t help complaining about it to his assistant.
Wei Chengfeng immediately replied without changing expression, “Yes, Teacher Song is absolutely right.”
“What’s so great about him? His family just has a little money, and his company’s a little bigger. This so-called highly qualified talent who studied abroad is just a rich kid who got in through connections.”
That was until the head of the company came to inspect the branch office and said he wanted to see his son.
Song Yaozhu looked up from his seat in confusion as the head of the conglomerate walked onto their floor.
And there was Wei Chengfeng, hurrying up behind him with a hot drink he had specially bought for Song Yaozhu.
“Dad? What brings you here?”
Song Yaozhu: “?”

When Song Yaozhu was still with his ex, the ex warned him to watch out for Wei Chengfeng, saying he could tell at a glance that Wei Chengfeng had ulterior motives. Song Yaozhu didn’t believe him.
Later, when Song Yaozhu happened to bring it up with Wei Chengfeng, he brushed it off.
“Yeah. I’ve liked you for a long time.”
“Even before you found out.”
