Thanks to my dear friend @Duckfoot Mu for the handwritten cover! It's insanely, insanely gorgeous!!
Sang Yu grew up in the slums of District Thirteen, under the jurisdiction of the Star Alliance.
A master of time management, he can juggle seven part-time jobs in a single day, then make it to an upscale nightclub at midnight to sell counterfeit A3 nutritional supplements. But when debt collectors come knocking, Sang Yu can't pay, and he's taken away for human experimentation.
Fortunately, he has a stunning face that rivals any interstellar celebrity's, so he's assigned a different task. Once it's done, he'll receive a hefty bonus.
Sang Yu's task is to impersonate a bionic human, playing a gentle, healing-type bionic human whose personality is completely opposite to his own.
Gentle, considerate, and eloquent.
Fu Lanshen retires from the front lines, inherits his deceased father's position, and becomes the youngest head of the Fu family.
Unfortunately, he suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder. His moods are unpredictable, and his emotional state is extremely unstable, so his mother arranges for a healing-type bionic human to keep him company.
There are plenty of service-type bionic humans in the house, and Fu Lanshen pays them little attention.
That is, until the new healing-type bionic human falls asleep before him while reading to him at night.
Or drops a plate while cooking and blurts out, "Damn..." Then, after taking a deep breath, says, "The grass outside the window is really beautiful."
Fu Lanshen once found candy wrappers in Sang Yu's pajama pocket and smelled alcohol on his breath.
And after Fu Lanshen scolded him, he heard Sang Yu crying in the storage room.
On the day Fu Lanshen is cured, he returns to the battlefield.
When he comes back, he uses his military achievements to propose a bill to the government: the legalization of marriage between humans and bionic humans.
But when he gets home, he's told that the bionic human has completed his mission and been destroyed.
After receiving his bonus and escaping poverty, Sang Yu buys the motorcycle and house he wants, and his younger sister is cured.
One day, he races with a street-racing gang beneath the Fourth Overpass. His brakes fail, and he collides with a silver-blue winged vehicle.
He's fine, but the vehicle's owner demands full compensation.
Sang Yu goes to meet the owner at their agreed location, the top floor of the Imperial Building.
The arrogant family head, renowned for controlling the Star Alliance's financial and military lifelines, stands with his hands behind his back before the vast floor-to-ceiling windows, taking in the Empire's resplendent nightscape.
He says, "I checked. The healing-type bionic human with serial number A9201 was not equipped with reproductive organs, a partner system, or emotional functions such as crying and feeling dejected."
Fu Lanshen steps up to Sang Yu, bends down, and whispers in his ear, "But every night in the past, you cried so pitifully beneath me. You also said... that you really liked me."
