[The upcoming novel next door, The Little Dragon's Journey Home, is an adventure in another world with no romance. It shares a setting with Arthur's story. Feel free to check it out; the blurb is at the end.]
What does a student who becomes a great mage right after graduating aspire to?
Travel with a hero and tame a dragon?
Personally investigate the mysteries of ancient alchemy?
Fight against hidden, evil witchcraft?
Arthur Adams says coolly, "Sorry, but I have a piece of land at home that I need to inherit."
The quiet, secluded town of Landon becomes lively and welcoming after Arthur arrives.
The king's attendants come to visit every few days. A timid knight comes to ask about the path to becoming a hero. The church's priest comes looking for a cure.
And that's not even mentioning the magical creatures in the Landon Forest.
Elves, werewolves, goblins, witches...
"Mr. Arthur, I'd like to buy a carrot that lets you remember everything after you eat it."
"Mr. Arthur, I'd like to buy a melon that cures stuttering!"
"Mr. Arthur, can I borrow your griffin for a ride?"
"Mr. Arthur, I'd like to buy some colorful wool for decoration."
The great mage proudly replies, "What's the big deal? Isn't it perfectly normal for vegetables grown by a great mage to have a little magic?"
The army of monsters under the town of Landon is in a panic. With Arthur around, the monsters can't do a thing!
"So, is that great mage still farming?"
A monster who thinks its disguise is flawless sneaks into the human world to investigate.
The great mage, who is just wandering around with nothing to do, replies casually, "Why don't you ask the amazing Mr. Arthur?"
The monster is forced to help Arthur till the land for three months.
The hardworking and kind-hearted Arthur says amiably, "I don't mind having a few more helpers to farm with me."
They say the great mage has three hobbies:
Reading, farming, and taking walks.
Reading earned him the title of great mage.
Farming brings him joy.
As for taking walks,
Does finding his little sister count?
From then on, the great mage has one more farming task: growing a rainbow-covered tree for his sister, Modi.
Reader's guide:
The male lead has no romantic pairing. There is no romance, only family bonds!
Some of the fruits and vegetables are made up by the author, so don't read too much into them.
The Little Dragon's Journey Home
Dragons are magical creatures of legend. They have wings and four legs, scales like shields, and can breathe fire and conjure ice.
Dragons are the stuff of legendary adventures. The treasure in a dragon's lair is enough to change an ordinary person's fate.
Dragons are a hero's legendary calling card. Heroes spend their whole lives wanting to slay dragons and leave behind an epic tale.
Dragons are legendary...
Yageda listens to the stories about dragons with a fish bone in his mouth, marveling at his own bearing and grace.
How could fighting alley cats for scraps possibly make him look like a dragon?
"According to legend, the dragons live on Lone Mountain in the magic world. As for how to get to the magic world, ordinary people like me can only enter through the Landon Forest in the Kingdom of Bainerui."
And so, Yageda resolutely sets out on the long road home.
"Human, take me home!"
The little dragon blocks the road, picking random lucky travelers to take him home.
Among them are a priest traveling to a new post, a hero setting out on a journey, an adventurer seeking treasure, and a knight on official business...
The priest heals his wounds, the hero keeps him safe, the adventurer cooks delicious food for him, and the knight tells him stories.
Of course, some people try to catch him and sell him.
"Don't touch my wings. I can't fly yet!"
"Don't touch my horns. A bald little dragon wouldn't look good!"
"Don't pull out my teeth, or I'll go hungry!"
After crossing mountains and rivers and traveling through three kingdoms, the little dragon finally reaches the Landon Forest.
There is a field outside the forest, where a young man is busy weeding.
"Human, is this the Landon Forest?" the little dragon asks, tilting his head.
"Griffin, bring me the dragon crying behind our house. Tell it its little one is back..."
Reader's guide:
The protagonist is a little dragon, in an adventure story set in another world with no romance.
It shares a setting with the great mage story next door.
Theme: Do good deeds without worrying about what the future holds.
Give me the illusion that elves indulge monsters and destroy the world
Hahahaha, the ants won't even eat it, it's really a defense, it's so funny
Cliff is a bit silly and cute
Magic is so convenient for everything
Pre-receipt: CP-free adventure in a different world "Dragon Zai's Road Home" (same world view as Arthur) Column guide: Interstellar ABO Lily "The First Beta in the Universe" (frank and lively beta × cold-faced and warm-hearted alpha)
Carey: No one understands Arthur better than me
The story is still interesting, but there is still a lot of room for narrative techniques... Don't make the story look like some weird surveillance report. Hey_(:з∠)_
Hahaha "Shocked! Leo with a bad temper actually killed his family and friends???"
Think about it Uvel: Mr. Arthur, let's go! Leo, Griffin: Where are these wolf cubs from trying to steal people from us!
I originally thought King Duolun was a short-sighted villain, but looking at it this way, he is also from a clean background.
