She Hides Inside My Body [Self-Pairing]

[Blurb tentative, outline still in progress] When I was fifteen, I had a dream. In it, a girl who looked exactly like me took my place. Unlike me, she always greeted people with a smile, like a warm breeze. Unlike me, she was decisive and brilliant, shining brightly. Unlike me... But I knew she was me. She was the person I most wanted to become, a fantasy of mine. For ten years, I kept searching for her in my imagined worlds, but never once managed to catch her. I became just like her, with her shadow in every gesture. I lost myself... I began to lose track of what was real and what was fantasy, and of who I really was. One day, I had a dream that I had taken my own place. So... Who am I? Who is she? Theme: Finding my true self
