God Says, Don't Turn On the Lights

In this world, light is forbidden. Humanity can only live in darkness, while the daytime belongs to monsters. To survive, people must find the perpetual-night zones in each city.

Cheng Qiang wakes up in 2120, forced to accept this reality. As he watches monsters run beneath the blazing sun and humans huddle in the darkness, he sometimes begins to wonder whether he is really human or a monster.

"Please don't turn on the lights!"

Yan Zhixiao: "If one day, the light becomes more frightening than the darkness, will you still long for it?"

Cheng Qiang: "Light is what I have pursued all my life, and so are you."

Cheng Qiang wins thirty million in the lottery, and at the same time, the hospital gives him a critical condition notice. He's experienced the highest highs and lowest lows life has to offer. The doctor tells him that having thirty million means there's still hope. He can choose to be cryogenically frozen and cured with more advanced technology a hundred years later, then immediately enjoy a futuristic, high-tech life.

So he spends five million to have himself frozen.

When he wakes up, the world outside has changed completely. Yellow sand fills the air, monsters run rampant, and humans hide in the darkness.

Then, in the apocalypse, he meets CEO Yan Zhixiao. This CEO is no ordinary man: he's a scholar and a fighter. His only flaw is that he tends to get sleepy while fighting.

Cheng Qiang obsequiously asks, "CEO, is there anything I can do for you?"

Yan Zhixiao: "Be my bed."

Cheng Qiang mishears him as saying, "Get in my bed." He replies, "I'll perform for you, but I won't sell my body."

Yan Zhixiao: "Carry me on your back while I sleep."

And so Cheng Qiang becomes a mobile bed.
