"But that light really did shine on me for a long time."
Pei Song & Huang Jiao
"The temperature dropped today. It's clearly almost autumn,
but Huang Jiao feels as if winter is nearly here.
She wrapped her knitted jacket tighter around herself and watched the sun slowly sink beyond the window, then suddenly sighed.
Years ago, around this time, she fell for a boy surrounded by glory. Just like they write in romance novels: 'Each one is proud of being exceptionally gifted.'
Back then, the boy was the best, but Huang Jiao wasn't the best version of herself. She was insignificant as dust, yet like a lone, fearless hero, she charged headlong through the stormy seas of the world in a little boat.
There was no spring in her life.
So she fell asleep in a frozen, snowbound world."
