Raising Roses

[Advance preview: Phoenix A Is Taking the Internet by Storm!] Add it to your favorites~ Blurb 1: "You broke the rose with your own hands, yet still wonder why it withered." The frail, refined eldest daughter of the Jiang family received a rose when she was young. She picked it up from the dust and kept it by her side, tending to it and nurturing it with care. The rose seemed to come back to life, gradually growing more and more alluring. It concealed its thorns and its yearning for its mistress, afraid to reveal them too readily. But Jiang Ruoxi, with a hint of wickedness, gave it a chance. That rose was still in bud, tender and dewy. Jiang Ruoxi had once made it bloom with her own hands, only to cast it back into the abyss with a single sentence: "It was just a moment of pleasure. How could you take it seriously?" The rose was instantly devastated, as though every last bit of life had drained from it. Years later, Lian Qi had shed her youthful innocence. Her features were now sharp, her nature obsessive and restrained. Since that eldest daughter would never truly love anyone, Lian Qi would teach her how herself. The rose let its thorns grow wild, intent on trapping the one she loved so she could never easily escape. A game of love, with both sides trying to outmaneuver the other. But in the end, it is hard to tell who has gained the upper hand. Blurb 2: "I can give you a chance." The noble young woman pressed a light kiss to the other's shoulder, unhurried and composed. Lian Qi found herself thinking absently: So even when she does something like this, she's calm and graceful. "Today, I'm giving that chance back to you." Lian Qi decided to make the other pay for having toyed with her, but in the end she couldn't bring herself to be cruel. She was still careful, still gentle. The eldest daughter of the Jiang family hid beside the other's shoulder, casually sketching a faint smile.
