But I Only Want to Be a Sword Cultivator!

Chen Fuqing transmigrates into a xianxia novel as a cannon-fodder female supporting character. The original owner fell in love with the male lead, but he used her to level up. In the end, he got together with the sweet and naive heroine, kicked Chen Fuqing out of their sect, and killed her with a single sword thrust to the throat. By the time she transmigrates into the story, she has already been expelled from the sect. Knowing her fate from the start, she has only one belief: I must not die! So Chen Fuqing starts practicing swordsmanship like her life depends on it, determined to outwork the entire cultivation world and become the most powerful sword cultivator. When the male lead eventually comes to slit her throat, she wants to be able to fight back and protect herself. While others practice just enough to spar, she keeps going until she spits blood. Spitting blood is no big deal; she can take medicine to recover! No sect and no medicine? No problem, she will make her own! As long as it cannot kill her and she can fight again, it will do! While others stop at a friendly spar, she picks fights and goes all out, coming back covered in bruises and barely able to stand. As long as she is alive, that is enough. Even with no money and no one to help, she treats her own injuries, gets back in shape, and fights again! By betting her own body and training relentlessly to improve her swordsmanship, Chen Fuqing finally makes it to the sword cultivators' grand tournament. When the male lead deliberately chooses to fight only her, intending to kill her, she withstands his deadly strike to the throat and wounds him in return. Though she is gravely injured too, she survives! Chen Fuqing goes into seclusion to recuperate. Once she has healed, she figures that she has weathered her great calamity and only wants to find a beautiful place to enjoy a quiet retirement. Yet a crowd gathers outside her door and refuses to let her leave:
