A Satoru Gojo self-insert romance, written in a fit of rage by a solo fan.
There’s a loose outline and some character notes, but I might not have the patience to write it. Maybe I’ll skip straight to forcing myself on the teacher in chapter two. (I’ve grown.)
Here’s a lesson in romance (?), though who knows when I’ll get around to writing it. I’ll post it here for now, just for fun.
“You’d probably like Mai.”
“Who’s that?”
“Maki’s younger sister. She’s a timid girl too.”
You turned your face away indignantly. “Just because people are alike doesn’t mean humans have to like each other.”
“Sometimes they hate each other.”
“Ah,” Satoru Gojo replied nonchalantly. “You understand humans pretty well, don’t you?”
“Yeah.” His attitude rubbed off on you. “I’ve chewed over their fates so many times, after all. It’s like eating fish. Some parts are delicious, but the innards are bitter and unpleasant.”
“No one likes eating innards.”
You stared steadily into his eyes, and from their icy blue depths, you could tell he understood exactly what you meant.
You weren’t some merciful wish-granting machine, a kind savior who took others’ fates upon herself. Your cold, ruthless creator had left some of his arrogance in you. You were only willing to drink in humanity’s virtues, and had no interest in curses. If anything, you had taken refuge in their bodies to escape all that chaos and emptiness.
“The first job I ever had was cutting out innards.”
You spoke the cruel truth.
Would he hate you? After all, this man was carrying the future of the jujutsu world on his own shoulders. His power was vast as the sea, turning like the stars.
But he wasn’t a generous man.
You looked into his eyes without a trace of emotion and felt no regret.
Your rationality must have been off the charts right now.
“Ha ha ha ha.” His laugh was a little unhinged.
He grabbed your face with one hand. “Oh, are you asking your teacher for advice?”
“I’ll teach you properly,” he replied in the same cool voice. “I’ll teach you how to live, and how to turn innards into chocolate with a technique.”
You blinked slowly. You wanted to speak, but only a dry, short sound came from your throat.
You cleared your throat and replied as evenly as you could, “That is a truly disgusting taste.”
So that was it.
At last, you clearly understood what it was about Satoru Gojo that had frightened you.
You hadn’t encountered it in a very long time. It wasn’t human love or curses. In a past older than the stars, you had gradually taken shape beneath its power.
It was the capriciousness of a god.
You had been so desperate to escape that you’d gone and attracted such a terrifying keeper.
You opened your eyes wide with excitement and trembled as you leaned in to kiss him.
Theme: White bee, even though you’re gone, you still hum in my soul.
You're back, madam??? I'm still waiting in the old pit, madam, you just secretly opened a new pit.
[Heartbroken] At least I know you are still alive
