In 2011, a series of strange cases began appearing in Yuncheng.
All the victims were men in their prime. The causes of death varied wildly, and the prime suspects all had solid alibis.
Forensic examiner Bei Jinwen was drawn into the cases. The deeper he investigated, the more he realized that the same suspect seemed to appear behind every mystery.
Who is he? And who am I?
A murder, a serious injury, and a nightmare stirred memories of Bei Jinwen's youth that he had long since forgotten.
In the dream, he saw another version of himself.
A version who had chosen the path of evil and murder.
When Bei Jinwen awoke from the dream in his hospital bed, his police partner placed a photograph in front of him.
"Explain why you were at the crime scene."
At this very moment, I became the prime suspect.
Bei Jinwen: "Damn it, I'm not taking the blame for this!!"
Told from the male protagonist's perspective. A forensic investigation and crime-solving story.
A trio of close-knit friends, no romance.
There are fantasy elements and time-space manipulation, with plenty of original worldbuilding.
Theme: The protagonist proves his innocence through his professional expertise
