His Lonely Performance

I want to tell a story, just a story. Maybe it really happened. It was only a coincidence, and I was one of the people caught up in it.

He said he was lonely.

He said he needed a gentle person by his side.

His eyes were melancholy.

His voice was full of tenderness.

He said it again and again,

to many different people.

He forgot.

I was sharp,

and I pierced

his act of loneliness.
