On a sunny afternoon, Iemon Pancras collided with a dying space-time, bringing with him a force of destruction.
To survive together, he struck a deal with the Administration beyond the world, taking responsibility for building and supporting this composite world, which had lost its pillar figures.
By day, he persuades his colleagues not to join the enemy forces. At dusk, he beats up a rich man who has come looking for trouble and his cat. He uses magic to hide his six eyes and dragon tail, then turns around and tells another version of himself, "You're the murderer."
Iemon opens the tattered script for "Superpowers: Yokohama" first. "So much of it is missing!"
System: It was already on the verge of falling apart. This is a popular series, so you must have heard of it.
Iemon: There wasn't even electricity where I lived in my previous life.
System: ?
System: The Administration has some basic information, so... it should be fine?
Iemon: Has anyone ever told you not to send amateurs to handle accidents? Never mind.
The contract is signed, so what else can he do? He looks through the roster he's been given, finding some names strangely familiar, then rolls up his sleeves and gets to work.
After he diligently builds Yokohama up, he can retire, drink tea, and let everyone fight on their own. But then something goes wrong with the world's barriers.
Only belatedly does Iemon realize that the pillars of those parallel worlds have ended up in his world.
Looking at the pillars he plays, and the pillars who are watching him, he slowly forms a question mark. They're not just different from one another, they're completely unrelated.
Did he build his world wrong somehow? It has always been stable, normal, and reasonable. It's even peaceful.
The person sent by the Special Division to hunt them down says calmly, "Since it's you, Dazai, I can buy you a bowl of red bean soup at Meoto Zenzai before you die."
The black-haired beauty who hates the cold gives a gentle smile. "Chuuya, you're so inconsiderate. You don't know how to put yourself in other people's shoes."
"Since people are animals, they're afraid of death just like animals. That's why I left Teacher Natsume and came to serve another gentleman."
"'Will you give me up, or will you give up that man?' Teacher Kouyou asked me that. Of course, I had only one answer."
"Kyouka's handwriting is so tiny. I was hoping you could read it aloud for me."
He is shocked, ponders it, then looks toward the famous detective Tokyo and the Monster Hunter world, where a melodramatic, fantastical love story between childhood friends plays out every day.
"There's nothing wrong with this world."
The others who have followed him here: "..."
Wake up! There is absolutely something wrong with this world!
Warnings:
This is an unconventional secret-identity story, and the identities probably won't be exposed.
You can tell from the blurb that the story will go in some very outrageous directions. A lot of people will get put through the wringer, so don't take it too seriously.
Thanks to Hai Shang Mi Wu for helping me write the blurb. This was really hard to write.
Theme: Don't send amateurs to handle accidents.
