We Were in Ninth Grade That Year

Ouyang Yihang's parents had one fight after another over his transfer in the ninth grade. Quiet and reserved as always, he finally found his own way to put an end to their argument that night. While playing Honor of Kings with his good friend Ling Feng, he met Li Xintong, a new classmate who was also facing a transfer. After the transfer, they each found themselves among new classmates. Ouyang Yihang's dormmates were all top students, each carrying a different story. At fifteen, he would face family turmoil, parting from friends, the pressure of further studies, and the difficult choices of what to hold on to and what to let go. That is the innocence of youth: growing up as paths slowly diverge, and gradually maturing while still naive about the world.
