A player downloaded a game called [Red and Black Deathmatch Simulator]. A notorious fun-loving expert in the gaming community, he eagerly picked the black side, determined to score a perfect victory and enjoy himself.
Got work? Grind!!
New recruit? Win them over!!
Got a fight? Fight!!
Got a mole? Kill!!
Just as the player was absorbed in playing a genuine member of the organization and working himself to death like a model employee, the game suddenly updated with a plugin. Unaware, he downloaded it and eagerly went off with his gun to snipe a mole. But just as he was about to pull the trigger, the game suddenly entered System takeover mode. Most of the screen filled with lines of text. Looking closely, they all read: [Player interference detected. Blocking in progress.]
Player: ?
What the hell??
He refused to believe that a gaming master like him couldn't kill a few NPCs!
The player grumbled as he recorded the entire battle against the game in his memo app.
X month X day, sunny. Tried a large-scale bombing with explosives. Failed. Looks like traps I set myself won't work. Next time, I'll try to engineer an accident.
X month X day, torrential rain. Failed. Everyone I sent died. Looks like I can't have NPCs kill other NPCs. Or maybe it can't be something I intended?
X month X day, cloudy. Failed. Inciting others didn't work either. I'm starting to wonder how this takeover is triggered.
X month X day, light rain. Failed.
X month X day, heavy rain turning cloudy. Failed... The game's weather system is pretty interesting too. Maybe I can try using it.
X month X day, sunny. Failed.
X month X day, light rain. Failed.
As the player racked his brains, pitting his wits against the judgment system, he noticed a new item in the game store: [Arrogance]: You have the confidence to overturn the board. Black pieces and white pieces are nothing but toys to help you pass the time. In exchange, bearing the consequences is inevitable, even if they may be insignificant.
Destruction? Please don't use such an exaggerated word. I'm just cleaning up the trash on the board, that's all.
(Equipping this buff lets you escape System takeover. No time limit. Redeemable when the black side's reputation reaches 85.)
The player opened the AI customer service chat, which had been gathering dust ever since he started the game, and got straight to the point.
"What's Gin's reputation on the black side right now?"
[It's 78, dear.]
Player: ...?
The player fell silent for a while, then quietly changed his ultimate goal from "unlock the black side's victory CG" to "become the boss of the organization."

Amuro Tooru has been feeling conflicted lately. While undercover, he discovered that a member of the organization might have figured out his identity as a mole.
Let that sink in.
A member of the organization with a code name, higher rank and more seniority than him, whose record was so dark there was no cleaning it up, had discovered his identity.
Even if it was only a suspicion, his identity as a Public Security agent could not afford the slightest mistake. Determined to sacrifice himself if necessary to clear the suspicion surrounding his fellow undercover childhood friend, Amuro Tooru began investigating this organization member.
X month X day. Bomb planted at my mission site, apparently meant to kill me covertly. Unexpected incident; the bomb helped clean up afterward.
X month X day. An assassin sent to kill me in secret. Unexpected incident; Gin's trust in me increased.
X month X day. Unexpected incident.
X month X day. Another accident? Was it a coincidence...?
X month X day. Unexpected incident.
X month X day. Unexpected incident... If it wasn't deliberate, that would be an awful lot of coincidences.
X month X day. Another unexpected incident. Does he really want to kill me?

The plot goes like this:
Player: Damn it, I'm going to kill this NPC if it's the last thing I do!!!
Amuro Tooru/other moles: Is he one of us or not?

The protagonist is a chaotic, fun-loving menace, a genuine member of the black side and a true villain. He will never switch sides, and there is no redemption or whitewashing by the good guys. The black side is highly likely to win. The protagonist may have (and probably already has) betrayed members of the good side, and is deeply fixated on killing moles.
Theme: Misunderstandings will bring about your death.
