High Above the Distant Clouds

1v1, easy reading // HE, alternate setting with original worldbuilding

Righteous and courageous junior sister × ruthless, taciturn wanderer

Chu Yao was exceptionally gifted from a young age. By the time she was twenty, people in the martial world already hailed her as the greatest under heaven.

On the day a secret treasure was stolen from Chendi Mountain, she caught someone inside the Twilight Pavilion.

In the water dungeon, the thief had a cool, handsome face. His black clothes clung to his body after getting wet, outlining his broad shoulders and back and slender waist.

Chu Yao stared straight at his waist for a long time.

It was later confirmed that the man in the water dungeon was not the thief. The real culprit was one of the three top experts of the evil sect Wangyue Sect.

To reclaim the secret treasure, Chu Yao set out with Ye Yuntai on a perilous journey through the martial world.

Back when she was still at Chendi Mountain, Chu Yao had already admitted that she fell for Ye Yuntai at first sight. But the young woman had no idea how to pursue someone, so she asked her senior brothers at the mountain gate for advice.

Her second senior brother, who had been single for nearly thirty years, said solemnly, "Men all like delicate, helpless women."

Chu Yao nodded earnestly. "I understand."

The next day, the mountain gate received word that their junior sister had been kidnapped by a gang of vicious bandits.

Her senior brothers: "Our condolences to the bandits."

Sure enough, three days later, the junior sister returned alone, covered in blood and radiating murderous intent.

Damn it! Ye Yuntai hadn't come to save her!!!!

She still didn't know that on the night the bandits captured her, the man had knocked out her guards and slipped inside. But when he saw a young woman bound hand and foot, curled up on the hard, cold bed and sleeping soundly with drool at the corner of her mouth, he freed her and then sat by the bed, watching her for half the night.
