Consort Hui Doesn't Want to Raise a Child (Qing Dynasty)

After transmigrating as Consort Hui of Kangxi, the historical mother of the First Prince Yin Ti, Yun Yun was pretty happy. She didn't have to give birth, and got a child for free. What could be better? But after seeing the First Prince's true rotten-kid personality, Yun Yun could no longer keep up her loving-mother act. My dear son, it looks like you need all three beatings a day. You can't miss a single one. (The loving mother smiles.) P.S. A simple slice-of-life story. Don't take the history too seriously. Coming next: The Princess Fears Nothing (Qing Dynasty Transmigration) Told in third person. My name is Yarha, and I'm a princess. They say my mother wanted me to be graceful, dignified, and well-mannered, so she gave me this name. I live in the eastern side hall of Chengqian Palace in the Forbidden City. I was born in the sixth month of the twenty-second year of Kangxi's reign. I have a Fourth Brother, as well as lots of older brothers and sisters with numbers for names. Mother says I'm cute, healthy, and full of energy. I'm a good baby. I think so too. I'm the cutest little princess in the whole Forbidden City. But Fourth Brother says I like to shriek, have a mean streak, and eat anything. Crown Prince Brother covers my ears and tells me not to listen. He says that's just slander. I kick Fourth Brother hard in the shin. How dare he slander the noble Great Yarha! Father says I was born to get revenge on him. Mother says I'm smart and good at reading people. Fourth Brother says whoever inherits the throne will have to inherit me, too. Hooray! Congratulations to Father on his record-breaking reign and his achievement as Best Keeper! P.S. This is a partly fictionalized Qing Dynasty transmigration story. Just read it for fun. Theme: A mother's love is great.
