At ten, Xi Shi'an and Wei Mingshu were childhood friends who grew up together.
At fifteen, as her heart began to stir, Xi Shi'an fell for the adolescent Wei Mingshu.
At twenty, she finally worked up the courage to confess. On a snowy night, she called Wei Mingshu, but got no answer, only a series of busy signals.
At twenty-five, on a chilly, rainy night, Xi Shi'an was stabbed in the main artery on a crowded street. Just before she died, she saw the face of her long-lost childhood friend, smiling with madness beneath the pallid streetlights.
She could not understand how the boy she had not seen in five years had become like this.
Her obsession with learning the truth brought her back to life.
The "Villain Redemption System" bound itself to her. The System told her to redeem villains in various mission worlds and set them back on the right path, stabilizing those worlds. As a reward, each world where she successfully resolved a villain's problems would give her the energy to return to the past and uncover the truth.
And so Xi Shi'an began her long journey of "redeeming villains."

World Two: The Prince Who Failed to Seize Power and the Borderland Merchant's Daughter
On the night of the emperor and empress's wedding, she held a dying man in her arms. The red of his blood made his wedding robe even darker. Though he was at death's door, he still clutched her arm tightly and asked in a feeble voice, "Shi'an, did you ever... love me?"
World Three: The Dopey Zombie King and His Scientist Girlfriend
World Four: (To be added)...
