That was when his sister would come into his room, tell him bedtime stories, and sing folk songs in different languages, all with gentle melodies. He didn't understand those languages very well yet, but the tunes made him feel calm and comforted. Sometimes his sister would sing poems in her magnificent voice, some of them written by her and some by others. Every night's story was different. Sometimes it was about astronomy and geography, sometimes the mysteries of the universe, the wonders of nature, or philosophy. There were even little-known stories about famous people, some uplifting, some tragic, and some heartbreaking. His sister brought her younger brother one boundless dream after another, helping him through every night. For seven years, she never missed a night as long as she was by his side. They had always traveled the world on foot. They dove into lightless seas, crossed deserts filled with swirling sand, went to the Arctic to see the aurora, and visited famous landmarks in countries around the world. When the mood struck, they would even have a friendly, no-holds-barred battle with ability users from other countries to help her little brother grow. They had each been independent comets, meant to travel through the universe alone, until one chance meeting brought them together, and they began to fly side by side.
